Timecard and Payroll

Each week that you work for us as a Temporary, you will be required to fill out a Timecard. You are responsible for filling out a Timecard properly. It must be initialed and signed by the client/employer. You must sign and submit it on the Friday for each week worked. Your Timecard must be received by Monday at 12:00 PM, or your hours will be billed and paid the following workweek.

You may hand-deliver or mail your Timecard. However, if you are late you must expect your paycheck to be one week late!

The following instructions are given to assist you in preparing your Timecard

  1. Print your name clearly and the name of the firm you were assigned to.
  2. Indicate the week ending (Sunday).
  3. Address changes should be submitted if you have moved since registering with us.
  4. Use the nearest quarter of an hour for time “In and Out,” and accumulating overall hours under regular time.
  5. Overtime should be worked only at the direct request of the client/employer. Have the client initial the timecard, authorizing the overtime.
  6. Parking reimbursement is provided only if the client has agreed to reimburse parking.
  7. Weekend work may be requested by the client to complete an assignment.
  8. Discuss any and all special circumstances such as overtime and parking with your counselor.

When your Timecard has been received by LegalStaff, it will be reviewed by the controller for all appropriate signatures and initials. Your paycheck will be issued on a designated day following the week just worked.

  9. If your supervisor is not available to sign your timecard, send the Time card to us and we will contact the appropriate person to ensure that you will not miss payroll.
  10. Payroll is released on Thursdays. If you desire to be paid by direct deposit you may complete the necessary form. You will be required to submit a void check or a letter from your banking institution providing us authorization to place finds into your account. Please notify us if you need a form.
